land of natural delights, the minho region is one of the oldest natural regions of portugal. with the sea and beaches of pure and crystal clear water ahead of you, and verdurous valleys and mountains behind you. it was from these parts that most of the portuguese people colonized brazil in the 18th century.

in addition to the magnificent natural setting, the region combines the tradition of the religious festivals with a unique gastronomy, that can easily debunk a parisian banquet.

whoever visits this region can discover great part of its natural delights, its valuable cultural patrimony, and relive ancient practices that here and there still resist the dizzying changes of time.
